Ban Fur and Enjoy Winter: 7 Faux Fur Coats You'll Love
Fur industry is cruel. More than 1 billion animals are killed every year for their fur. Still, in 21st century.
And it is done not because of extreme weather conditions (even for those there are animal-free alternatives), but for the sake of fashion. According to Fur Commission USA more than 50% of major fashion week shows in 2016 featured fur clothing.
I believe there is no excuse for abusing animals for fashion. Especially now, when we have so many beautiful faux fur coats.
These are my favorite:
1. Faux fur jacket from Diane von Furstenberg
Cut in custom faux Toscana, and dyed in bold colors, this jacket features an oversized fit, collar, hidden side seam pockets, snap closures, and ends flatteringly right below the waist.
Available at DVF for $598.
2. Leopard coat from J.Crew
3. Textured coat from Zara
79% acrylic, 21% polyester. Available at Zara for $149.
4. Faux fur hooded bomber jacket from Helmut Lang
Helmut Lang's bomber jacket is made from fluffy faux fur in a brown the brand describes as 'Honey' and 'Chestnut' - it looks great with black and denim.
Available at Net-a-Porter for $695.
5. Faux fur jacket from №21
Available at Farfetch for $1530.
6. Lapels faux fur coat from Mango
100% polyester. Available in 3 colors at Mango for $199.
7. Fur Free Fur from Stella McCartney
Fur Free Fur soft alter fox fur coat featuring a round open collar, hook fastening, side pockets and signature Fur Free Fur label at the cuff. This garment is made from non-leather, cruelty-free materials using highly skilled manufacturing techniques.
Available at Stella McCartney and Farfetch for $1795.
Animals shouldn't be a part of fashion. And we can save their lives by choosing animal-free clothes.
